Job summary

Filta in the Philippines is seeking a CAD Drafter to produce detailed 2D manufacturing layouts and conceptual 3D models for HVAC projects. You will collaborate with internal design engineers and project managers using AutoCAD MEP, SolidWorks, or Inventor.

The role requires at least 5 years of drafting ductwork and HVAC layouts, strong English communication, and the ability to work remotely from the Greater Metro Manila area. A reliable internet connection and high-spec hardware are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of drafting experience, specifically in ductwork/HVAC layouts.
• Proficient in CAD tools AutoCAD MEP, SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Strong ability to read site plans, create BOMs, and perform sizing calculations.

Responsibilities

• Design precise technical drawings, fabrication layouts and 3D concepts for manufacturing and sales using CAD tools.
• Perform ductwork sizing calculations and airflow assessments.
• Create detailed Bills of Materials to support production and supply chains.
• Modify existing drawings and create new CAD drafts from concepts with quality control.
• Use project management tools and complete quality check sheets to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with international engineering teams to refine designs.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a CAD Drafter, you will play a key role in bringing detailed engineering designs to life by producing high-quality 2D manufacturing layouts and conceptual 3D models. Working closely with Internal Design Engineers and Project Managers, your primary responsibilities include:

• Designing precise technical drawings, fabrication layouts, and 3D conceptual models for manufacturing and sales presentations using AutoCAD MEP, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
• Performing ductwork sizing calculations, airflow assessments, and detail layout adjustments based on specific site requirements.
• Creating detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) and material requirement lists to support efficient production and supply chain workflows.
• Modifying existing drawing files and originating new CAD drafts from initial engineering concepts while maintaining strict quality control standards.
• Utilizing project management tools and completing quality check sheets to ensure all deliverables meet accuracy standards and project timelines.
• Collaborating proactively with international engineering teams to refine designs and support ongoing process improvements.

What You’ll Bring

• Professional Experience: At least 5 years of dedicated experience in drafting ductwork, HVAC systems, or detailed fabrication layouts.
• CAD Software Expertise: High proficiency in AutoCAD along with solid expertise in 3D modeling tools such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
• Technical & Numerical Skills: Strong background in reading site plans, creating Bills of Materials (BOM), performing sizing calculations, and developing shop drawings.
• Software Proficiency: Strong general computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Attributes: Excellent English communication skills, high attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the self-motivation to manage workloads independently in a remote environment.
• Technical Setup: High-spec hardware and reliable internet connection capable of smoothly processing large CAD software applications and heavy files.

Bonus Points For

• Experience working with AutoCAD MEP or specialized ventilation design software.
• Familiarity with UK/International engineering standards, airflow calculations, and industrial ventilation principles.
• Demonstrated willingness and agility to quickly learn and adopt new drafting programs as customer requirements evolve.
