PERSOL is seeking an administrator to support the management and administration of research ethics review processes. You will work with researchers, sponsors, review board members and regulators to ensure submissions and reviews comply with policies and guidelines.
The role involves coordinating meetings, processing applications, maintaining records, and providing secretariat support for ethics-related events. A life sciences or healthcare background is preferred.
Duration: 8 months contract (Extendable / Convertible)
Location: Novena
To support the management and administration of research ethics review processes within a healthcare/research environment. The role will work closely with researchers, investigators, sponsors, review board members and regulatory stakeholders to ensure research ethics submissions and reviews are handled accurately, efficiently and in accordance with applicable policies and guidelines.
Support the preparation and review of research ethics policies, guidelines and SOPs.
Coordinate DSRB/Healthcare REC meetings, including agendas, quorum, minutes and follow-up actions.
Screen and process research ethics applications, submissions and correspondence.
Coordinate the review and approval of research protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Communicate with investigators, sponsors, researchers and regulatory authorities on ethics review matters.
Provide guidance on the implementation of DSRB policies, procedures and forms.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date research ethics databases, records and reports.
Support quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the ethics review process.
Provide administrative and secretariat support for ethics-related conferences, programmes and other ad-hoc activities.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health, Health Sciences or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in healthcare, clinical/research administration or research ethics will be an advantage.
Basic understanding of research ethics policies, guidelines and local regulations.
Good organisational, project management, writing and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
Strong team player with good communication and influencing skills.
