Job summary

Lapanday Foods Corporation in the Philippines seeks a Drainage Works Supervisor to conduct field evaluations and oversee canal desilting, repairs, and maintenance. You will assist in budgeting and requisitions, schedule desilting/construction, and ensure adherence to safety and biosecurity standards for field workers.

The role requires at least 3 years in drainage-related work, a degree in Agricultural/ Environmental/Civil Engineering, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in drainage works operation, canal repair and maintenance, culvert installation or related water management.
• Computer literate / knowledgeable for MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
• Physically and mentally fit, with good moral character.
• Preferably with managerial experience in handling field workers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular field evaluation and inspections of all drainage systems and ensure work is done according to approved plans and company standards for drainage canal specifications.
• Assist in budget preparation for drainage maintenance and improvements and ensure to operate within the budget while delivering the required drainage works and services.
• Prepare, monitor, track and follow up on requisition of drainage work projects and materials through ePR/PTMS.
• Prepare the schedule of canal desilting and construction, repair & preventive maintenance of drainage equipment & facilities.
• Implement and oversee all drainage works and operations, including canal desilting, canal de-clogging and repair, and all other water management related projects.
• Initiate corrective action when identifying problems and detecting inefficient or unsafe work procedures.
• Monitor and ensure safety and biosecurity of company procedures are followed by the canaleros/workers during field work and operations.
