Job summary

Oriental Consultants Philippines, Inc. seeks a Licensed Civil Engineer to oversee utility works, coordinate inspections with DOTr and contractors, and monitor drainage activities along the project alignment. The role requires hands-on drainage construction experience and collaboration with LGUs and USPS.

The successful candidate will supervise site inspections, draft NCRs and letters, and coordinate RFIs with the Drainage Expert to align shop drawings with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed Civil Engineer with 5+ years hands-on experience in drainage system construction.
• Ability to review contractor submissions (shop drawings, method statements, MAR, SAR).
• Ability to draft NCRs and letters in response to contractor communications.
• Experience coordinating site verifications with LGUs, Barangays, USPS, and other authorities.

Responsibilities

• In charge of utility works; coordinate, assist, and attend inspection with DOTr and Contractor regarding relocation/removal of utilities within the PROW.
• Monitor drainage system activities along the project alignment.
• Supervised inspector-in-charge during site drainage/utility inspections.
• Coordinate changes in drainage design and RFIs with GCR Drainage Expert for shop drawings submitted by the Contractor.

Job description

Tasks and Responsibilities Required for the Position:

• In charge of utility works (coordinate, assist, and attend the inspection with DOTr and Contractor regarding the relocation and removal of existing utilities within the PROW).
• Monitor closely the activities involving drainage system along the project alignment.
• Supervised closely the inspector in-charge in doing inspection at site concerning drainage/utilities.
• Coordinate regularly to GCR Drainage Expert any changes in drainage design and other RFI’s which is to be incorporated to the shop drawing submitted by the Contractor.

Specific/Special Qualifications Required for the Position, if any:

• Licensed Civil Engineer with 5 years minimum hands-on experience in construction of drainage system mostly storm water and viaduct drainage.
• Ability to work under pressure and to review Contractor’s submissions related to drainage and other utility items. (Shop drawings, Method Statements, MAR, SAR etc.,)
• Ability to draft NCRS (Non-Conformance Reports) and letters in response to Contractor’s letters related to Drainage and Utility Issues.
• Assisting with joint site verifications, inspections, etc. between the Employer, Engineer & Contractor with the LGUs, Barangays, USPS, etc.
• Assisting to attend meetings with LGUs, Barangays, authorities, utility service providers, jointly with the Employer as and when requested by the Employer.
