We are seeking a smart, organized, and technically adept Documentation Associate (Contracts) to join our team. In this role, you will manage approved lending deals through the contracts and execution process, working closely with the Head of Contracts and our Underwriting team.
You will handle multiple deals at different stages—preparing and reviewing contracts, coordinating with borrowers and internal staff, and ensuring all required documentation and verification checks are completed before funding.
Contract Management: Prepare, review, and manage lending contracts using our automated contract preparation system.
Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with borrowers, customers, underwriters, and internal staff to obtain outstanding information and documentation.
Deal Tracking: Manage multiple deals simultaneously and keep accurate track of their progress.
Compliance & Verification: Complete required KYC, documentation, and verification processes.
Risk & Quality Control: Identify missing information, inconsistencies, and potential risks in contracts and credit information.
Issue Escalation: Escalate concerns to the Head of Contracts to ensure issues are resolved before a deal progresses to funding.
Final Preparation: Ensure completed deals are ready for final approval and pass quality control prior to funding.
Analytical Mindset: Smart, switched-on, with strong common sense, good judgment, and a keen eye for detail to spot discrepancies.
Task Management: Highly organized and capable of managing multiple time-sensitive tasks independently.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, easy to deal with both internally and externally.
Proactive Approach: Inquisitive and willing to ask questions rather than strictly following a checklist. You are comfortable raising red flags if something doesn't add up.
Accountability: Reliable, accountable, and capable of working independently.
Experience: Previous experience in lending, finance, contracts, or administration is advantageous, but not essential—full training on our systems and processes will be provided.
