Private Advertiser is seeking a Dispatcher to oversee dispatching operations in our logistics team. The role focuses on creating schedules, keeping precise records, and ensuring smooth daily movement of all trucks, with close attention to driver logs and equipment availability.

The position requires coordinating with maintenance teams to schedule PMS and to monitor day-to-day truck movements, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal fleet utilization.

• Monitor drivers’ working hours and equipment availability.
• Monitor preventive maintenance scheduling for all trucks (PMS).
• Oversee day-to-day movements of all trucks.

Job description

The Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing the dispatching function. This entails, but is not limited to, the following:

• a) Creating dispatch schedules;
• b) Maintaining accurate records;
• c) Monitoring drivers’ daily logs for errors;
• d) Monitoring drivers’ working hours and equipment availability;
• e) Monitoring the daily maintenance and scheduling of preventive maintenance services (PMS) for all trucks; and
• f) Monitoring the day-to-day movements of all trucks.
