A growing ecosystem of fintechs, financial service providers and development organizations is working to digitize savings groups and connect them to formal finance at scale. But to actually improve women's financial agency, the foundations must come first.

As more countries open legal pathways to financial inclusion for refugees, implementation challenges and digitalization emerge as the next frontier.

Inaccessible interfaces, screen reader incompatibility and unintuitive layouts limit independent use and create “partial inclusion.” Two main issues limit inclusion in India and much of the world.
