Job summary

Booth is seeking a Director of Finance (or fractional CFO) to lead financial health for a fast-growing Philippine nonprofit focused on food security. This part-time role (<10 hours/week) offers a clear path to full-time as the organization grows, reporting to the CEO and guiding budgeting, reporting, and treasury.

You will collaborate with a global team, supervise two direct reports, and coordinate with program and donor teams to sustain impact and efficiency. Experience in nonprofit finance and PH taxation is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in finance or accounting, with leadership experience.
• Nonprofit or NGO experience is a strong plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of Philippine tax, BIR and SEC filing.
• Strong finance skills and a real commitment to social impact.
• Ability to move between board-level strategy and detailed analytics.
• Experience working remotely with a global team and local communities.

Responsibilities

• Own the organization's financial health, integrity, and long-term sustainability.
• Lead 2 direct reports and partner with 3 other directors across program execution, donor engagement, and talent.
• Run accounting end to end — track and account for every peso that comes in and goes out.
• Review and approve payroll, which a third-party accounting firm runs today.
• File quarterly and annual financial and legal reports with the BIR and SEC, ensuring taxes and contributions are paid on time.
• Keep certifications current with government agencies (DSWD, etc.), banks, and partners.
• Build the annual budget with the CEO and program directors.
• Run financial analysis, monitor spending vs. budget, and recommend changes to protect mission and bottom line.
• Manage treasury, cash, and investment decisions.
• Coordinate with the US affiliate's finance lead on board and partner reporting.
• Join the CEO in partner and donor meetings, by video call or in the field.

What you'll do

• Run financial analysis, keep spending within budget, and recommend changes that protect both the mission and the bottom line.
• Manage treasury, cash, and investment decisions.

Requirements

What you bring

• 8+ years in finance or accounting, with several years leading a team. Nonprofit or NGO experience is a strong plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of Philippine tax, BIR and SEC filing, and statutory contributions.
• Strong finance skills and a real commitment to social impact.
• Comfort moving between board-level strategy and detailed spreadsheet work.
• A builder's mindset — you'll set up systems from scratch and fix what isn't working.
• High standards for transparency and integrity, and a drive to get the most impact from every peso.
