Role Summary

The Digital Librarian will be responsible for managing, curating, and maintaining the LIT Digital Library’s growing collection of digital resources. This role involves collection development, user support, partner coordination, and the continuous enhancement of the library’s digital experience. The Digital Librarian will also collaborate with academic institutions, publishers, and internal teams to ensure high‑quality content delivery and seamless library operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, curate, and regularly update digital library collections
• Acquire and evaluate digital library resources based on user needs and institutional requirements
• Respond to user queries and provide assistance with navigating the digital library
• Conduct library orientations, demos, and training sessions for students, faculty, and partner staff
• Maintain and update records of library patrons and institutional accounts
• Coordinate with local and international publishers for content acquisition and partnerships
• Collaborate with academic institutions for proposals, presentations, usage monitoring, programs, and other library‑related initiatives
• Develop innovative library and learning programs, tools, or content to enhance user engagement
• Maintain and support digital management systems, ensuring smooth access and functionality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science, Education, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience in library management, digital libraries, or collection development is an advantage
• Comfortable engaging with academic institutions and open to sales‑related tasks, particularly when discussing needs, preparing proposals, or coordinating with partner schools
