Job summary

UNIHEALTH-PARAÑAQUE HOSPITAL & MEDICAL CENTER INC. is seeking a BS Nursing graduate and licensed nurse with dialysis training to join our dialysis unit.

The role involves checking vitals, ensuring proper dialysis treatment, and monitoring for adverse reactions to safeguard patient well-being. You will prepare nursing care plans, notify physicians of any issues, and collaborate with Dialysis Technicians to set up equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Nursing and Licensed nurse.
• At least two (2) years work experience.
• With Hemodialysis Training.

Responsibilities

• Check and record patients' vitals before, during, and after dialysis.
• Ensure dialysis treatments are administered correctly.
• Monitor patients during dialysis to identify adverse reactions.
• Prepare and update nursing care plans.
• Notify the appropriate medical practitioner of any problems during dialysis.
• Coordinate with Dialysis Technicians to set up dialysis machines and equipment.
• Educate patients and families on home dialysis options and nutrition.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

Job description

Checking and recording patients’ vitals before, during, and after dialysis treatment.

Ensuring that hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments are administered to patients correctly.

Monitoring patients during dialysis treatment to identify any adverse reactions.

Preparing and updating nursing care plans.

Promptly notifying the appropriate medical practitioner of any problems that occur during dialysis treatments.

Working with the Dialysis Technicians to ensure that dialysis machines and equipment are set up correctly.

Teaching patients and their family members how to operate home dialysis machines should they decide on home dialysis therapy.

Educating patients on dialysis treatment options, kidney disease management, as well as suitable nutrition and exercise regimens.

Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
