Job summary

Macquarie Group in the Philippines is seeking a junior access management engineer to support and improve user access services within Macquarie Capital Technology. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to resolve access issues, onboard applications, and maintain thorough documentation, while contributing to automation and integrations across platforms.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, learning quickly, and clear communication with engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Foundation in software development or engineering with exposure to automation
• Proficiency in Java or another OO language with interest in automation
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity about systems
• Clear communication and ability to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders
• Experience or exposure to software development, automation or DevOps projects
• Knowledge of identity and access management concepts or platforms is a plus (e.g., SailPoint, CI/CD, Linux, cloud)

What role will you play?

You will support and improve user access management services across Macquarie Capital Technology, working with experienced engineers to investigate access-related issues, support application onboarding, maintain documentation, and ensure access requests are managed accurately.

You will also have the opportunity to build automation, develop integrations and strengthen operational processes using modern engineering practices.

What You Offer

• A foundation in software development, DevOps, engineering or technology gained through work, internships, personal projects or study


• Practical coding skills in Java or another object-oriented programming language, with an interest in automation and technology improvement


• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity about how systems operate end to end, and the ability to learn quickly


• Clear communication skills with the confidence to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders and explain technical concepts effectively


• Experience or exposure to software development, automation or DevOps projects


• Knowledge of identity and access management concepts or platforms such as SailPoint, Git, continuous integration and continuous delivery, automated testing, application programming interfaces, Linux, cloud services, containers, infrastructure automation, application onboarding, access provisioning, approval workflows, production support or Agile delivery practices will be an advantage.
