The Technical Audit Support Developer plays a critical role in enabling software license compliance audits through the development of automation tools, technical validation of client claims, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This senior-level position supports auditors by ensuring accurate data collection, insightful analysis, and alignment of audit methodologies with licensing metrics and contractual terms.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
  • Develop and maintain automation tools for audit-related data collection and analysis, with meaningful error-handling to support troubleshooting and reliability.

Provide technical expertise during client engagements, including validating non-standard software usage claims. Collaborate with product management to design audit methodologies that align software usage with license metrics and deployment realities. Interpret licensing terms, understand the purpose and value of licensed software, and assess deployment architectures across client environments.

Document developed solutions and facilitate hands‑on demos for auditors and stakeholders. Apply data anonymization techniques to ensure privacy and compliance during audit processes. Parse and analyze log files to extract relevant usage and deployment data.

Communicate technical findings clearly to both internal stakeholders and external clients. Partner with legal, compliance managers, sales developers, and account executives to ensure audit integrity and client alignment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in technical roles supporting software audits, licensing, or enterprise IT environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with scripting and platform-independent programming languages (e.g., Go) that support self‑contained, executable code.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and commonly used services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experienced in data analysis using Excel (Advanced), with expertise in Power Query for data shaping and automation.
  • Proficiency in working with REST APIs for data integration and automation.
  • Awareness of Information Security principles and practices relevant to software audits and data handling.
  • Familiarity with data anonymization techniques to ensure privacy and compliance during audit processes.
  • Ability to parse and interpret log files to support audit investigations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply software license terms in technical contexts.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software deployment architectures and software discovery tools (e.g., SCCM, Flexera, Snow).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub) for collaborative development and change tracking.
  • Understanding of containerization and virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker, VMware).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and normalization for structuring audit data.
  • Understanding of ETL concepts for building robust data pipelines.
  • Awareness of various software licensing models (e.g., SaaS, subscription, perpetual, concurrent use).
  • Strong client empathy and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Basic UI/UX awareness to support intuitive tool design.
  • Experience with testing and QA practices to ensure tool reliability.
  • Proficiency in using documentation standards (e.g., Markdown, Confluence, internal wikis).
  • Strong proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate technical concepts, collaborate with global teams, and engage with external stakeholders.
