Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering required.
• 1–2 years of experience in design or construction management or related field.
• Proficiency with Computer aided design and graphic software.
• Active PRC license required.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills for reporting and data analysis.
• Basic knowledge of database management and record-keeping.

Job description

The Design Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating the design team, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure timely and complete delivery of design documents, while ensuring projects comply with relevant laws, codes, and regulations. He/she will develop and manage project schedules, prepare design concepts, choose materials, and act as the primary client contact, ensuring designs meet project objectives and client needs. He/she will implement quality assurance processes and manage project budgets to maintain cost-effective design solutions within financial constraints, ensuring high-quality standards.

• Work closely with Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, and other relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure projects meet specifications and quality requirements.

• Ensure that all projects comply with relevant laws, codes, and regulations to maintain legal and safety standards.

• Prepare design concepts and propose alternative design solutions as necessary to meet project objectives and client needs.

• Choose and recommend materials that align with the design brief and budget, ensuring aesthetic and functional requirements are met.

• Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of design phases and coordination with construction timelines.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, presenting design proposals and updates, and incorporating client feedback into the final design.

• Manage project budgets, ensuring design solutions are cost-effective and within financial constraints, while maintaining design quality and standards.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering.

• Has 1 to 2 years of extensive experience in design and /or construction management, or related field.

• Know how to use Computer aided design and graphic software.

• With Active PRC license.

• Proficiency in office management software (e.g., MS Office Suite).

• Strong analytical skills to prepare reports and analyze data.

• Basic knowledge of database management and record-keeping.
