Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering, is a licensed professional, and brings at least five years of experience with Planswift and AutoCAD, plus strong communication and leadership skills to drive cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer is required.
• Computer literate and good communication skills.
• Knowledge in Planswift and AutoCAD.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in design and estimation of mechanical systems, plumbing and fire protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanical design and estimation team, ensuring high-quality outputs aligned with project requirements and industry standards.
• Review and approve mechanical system designs, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with codes and client expectations.
• Oversee detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and timelines.
• Analyze tender documents to develop accurate and competitive bids.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other disciplines for seamless integration.
• Establish estimation standards and best practices to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for cost-effectiveness and compliance.
• Conduct value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.
• Monitor budgets and provide technical/financial guidance.
• Identify design and cost risks and develop mitigation strategies.
