Job summary

Copeland, a global climate technologies company, seeks a motivated junior engineer to support integration of building and refrigeration systems into Copeland software and analytics platforms.

You will gather data, assist with testing, document configurations, and collaborate with global teams to deliver deployments. This entry-level role focuses on HVAC/R, IoT, and digital services with a hybrid on-site work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Internship, academic project, or work experience in HVAC/R, building systems, controls, automation, industrial systems, IoT, or digital services.
• Basic familiarity with data communications, system integration concepts, or industry-standard protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or similar technologies.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnets, and device connectivity.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, cloud platforms, databases, APIs, or IoT technologies is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the setup, configuration, and onboarding of customer sites into Copeland software and analytics platforms.
• Assist with data collection, validation, and system testing to ensure accurate and reliable service delivery.
• Support the integration of building systems, refrigeration systems, operational technologies, and related data sources.
• Participate in troubleshooting connectivity, data quality, and deployment-related issues under the guidance of senior team members.
• Perform configuration, point mapping, device setup, and system updates.
• Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of edge devices, gateways, and supporting infrastructure.
• Collaborate with customer technical teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate successful solution deployments.
• Support project execution activities to ensure deployments are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

MAIN DUTIES

• Support the setup, configuration, and onboarding of customer sites into Copeland software and analytics platforms.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to communicate project updates, technical findings, and implementation requirements.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, training materials, and knowledge resources.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

• Manage tasks and deliverables within defined timelines and quality standards while adhering to company vision, mission, and employee policies.
• Document and log all technical activities accurately in the designated tracking systems.
• Perform other operational functions as required to support the broader Lifecycle Services organization.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or another related technical discipline.

WORK EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING

OTHER WORK CONDITIONS

Schedule will be 1PM to 10PM, Monday to Friday, but may still have a shifting schedule/weekend work if needed. Must be willing to have a hybrid arrangement and work on-site for thrice per week. Must be able to effectively and independently function while maintaining a positive energy level in an environment of constantly shifting demands.
