Job summary

Cooee Inc. in Iloilo is seeking a Construction Estimator to support the team with estimating, take-offs, and quotations for asbestos removal, hazardous materials, demolition, and strip-out projects. You will review drawings, gather data, and prepare draft client quotations.

The role emphasizes accurate costings, writing scopes of work, and coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, with a strong focus on Excel and clear written and verbal English.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 5 years of experience in construction, engineering, or estimating.
• Construction or demolition estimating experience with understanding of estimating and project costs.
• Able to read drawings and prepare quantity take-offs.
• Strong Excel knowledge and numerical accuracy.
• Attention to detail and clear written and verbal English communication.
• Willing to learn asbestos and hazardous-material projects; experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, hazardous materials reports, and tender documents.
• Preparing quantity take-offs and breaking projects down into work areas and stages.
• Putting together scopes of work, methodologies, assumptions, exclusions, and clarification of questions.
• Working out project costs for labour, plant, access, transport, waste disposal, subcontractors, and other project requirements.
• Requesting, reviewing, and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotes.
• Preparing draft quotations for clients.
• Keeping track of tender deadlines, submissions, and follow-ups.
• Working across asbestos removal, hazardous-material remediation, demolition, and strip-out projects.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure estimates are complete and ready for final review.

About the Role

As a Construction Estimator, you will support the team with estimating and preparing quotations, while helpingthe team and the business grow. You'll review project documents, prepare take-offs and scopes of work, workout project costs, compare supplier and subcontractor quotes, and prepare draft client quotations for asbestosremoval, hazardous materials, demolition, and strip-out projects.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills

• Good written and verbal English communication skills

• Willing to learn and build knowledge in asbestos and hazardous-material projects

• Experience in asbestos or hazardous materials is a plus, but not required
