Job summary

Questronix Corporation is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of initiatives within the managed portfolio. You will define scope with stakeholders, create detailed timelines, and ensure resources align to meet on-time and on-budget delivery.

You will mentor teams, manage risks, review designs with the Solutions Architect, and drive governance across programs while ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Leads overall delivery management of each project within the portfolio, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-scope delivery.
• Defines and finalizes project scope, goals and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Creates and manages detailed timelines and ensures resource alignment.
• Optimizes resource utilization to meet timeframes and quality standards.
• Coaches and mentors project team members, driving accountability.
• Provides regular status updates to the project team and stakeholders.
• Unblocks SMEs to enable performance and delivery.
• Facilitates post-mortems and sprint retrospectives for learning.
• Reviews technical designs with the Solutions Architect and delivery team.
• Identifies and manages risks, issues, dependencies, and action plans.
• Monitors expenses to keep within the cost baseline and manages dependencies.

Job Description

• Leads the overall delivery management of each project under within the managed portfolio ensuring such are delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-scope.
• Defines and finalize project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with business unit and key stakeholders
• Creates and manages the detailed timeline for project execution and ensures that resources are always aligned with such.
• Optimizes utilization of available resources to deliver project activities within the required timeframes and agreed quality and scope
• Coaches, mentors, motivates and supervises project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Updates the project team of the status of the project based on agreed upon frequency.
• Clears blockers for the SMEs to perform and deliver
• Facilitates learning through post mortem and sprint retrospective
• Provides direct supervision and mentoring to project team members
• Reviews technical design provided by the Solutions Architect such as database, application architecture and system interface design together with the technical delivery team.
• Identifies, monitors and manages project risks, issues, dependencies and action plans until project implementation and closure.
• Monitors and manages project expenses to ensure it is within cost baseline.
• Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path
• Establishes and ensures appropriate governance functions for the program in accordance with enterprise policies, practices and on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible owner.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Ensures that implemented solution is based on the Solutions Architect’s design and is aligned with the Enterprise Architecture

Requirements

• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the project objectives, inspire and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with the business strategy.
• A high degree of political sensitivity, astuteness and the ability to use the informal power structure of the organization to achieve program success and overcome obstacles.
• A high level of empathy and the ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of temperaments and personalities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and “sell” the project goals and objectives to the business, as well as technical leadership.
• Strong business acumen, especially in banking business. Familiarity with industry trends and innovation related to banking.
• Influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with high competition for resources.
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills.
• Ability to develop programs and deliver them with financial and resource constraints.
• Knowledge of project planning tools.
• Deep understanding of:

A must:
