Job summary

Private Advertiser in Metro Manila is seeking a Driver / Mechanic to ensure safe and timely transport of goods, perform routine vehicle checks, troubleshoot basic issues, and carry out preventive maintenance.

You will report major mechanical problems, assist in loading, and uphold road safety while supporting efficient logistics operations. The role requires ongoing adherence to routes and schedules and reporting issues promptly to ensure vehicle readiness.

Responsibilities

• Check assigned vehicle daily before and after delivery routes.
• Do minor vehicle repair and maintenance work.
• Assist in loading merchandise in assigned vehicle.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure correctness and completeness.
• Adhere to routes and time schedules.
• Abide by road safety laws and driving protocols.
• Receive COD payments from customers.
• Endorse cash/check collections to the cashier after each delivery route.
• Inspect and evaluate vehicles before purchase to determine suitability for acquisition.
• Conduct initial diagnostic checks for vehicles reported with issues or due for maintenance.

About the role

The Driver / Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods, materials, and personnel while maintaining company vehicles in good working condition. The position involves performing routine vehicle inspections, basic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs, as well as promptly reporting major mechanical issues. The role is expected to promote vehicle safety, minimize downtime, comply with traffic and company regulations, and support the overall efficiency of logistics and warehouse operations.
