Job Summary
The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of products to customers, branches, and other authorized destinations. The position ensures proper handling of goods, compliance with traffic and safety regulations, and completion of required delivery documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles for customer, branch, and inter-branch deliveries.
- Deliver construction materials, hardware, and industrial supplies according to approved delivery schedules and routes.
- Verify products against Delivery Receipts, Pick Lists, invoices, and other authorized documents before departure.
- Ensure that the correct quantity and items are delivered to the correct customer or destination.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and proper handling of products when required.
- Secure products properly during transportation to prevent damage or loss.
- Obtain customer or recipient acknowledgment/signatures on delivery documents.
- Return completed Delivery Receipts and other required documents to the assigned personnel after delivery.
- Immediately report delivery discrepancies, damaged items, missing items, vehicle problems, accidents, or other incidents to the immediate supervisor.
- Conduct basic vehicle inspection before and after trips and report any maintenance concerns.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Follow company policies, traffic regulations, road safety standards, and delivery procedures.
- Assist the warehouse and logistics team with other delivery-related activities as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least High School or Senior High School graduate.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with Codes 1, 2, and 3 or the corresponding current Philippine license classifications authorizing the operation of applicable company vehicles.
- With professional driving experience is preferred.
- Experience in delivery, logistics, warehouse, hardware, construction materials, or industrial supplies is an advantage.
- Familiar with Davao City and nearby areas.
- Physically fit and capable of assisting with loading and unloading products.
- Knowledgeable in basic vehicle inspection and maintenance.
- Good driving skills and knowledge of traffic and road safety regulations.
- Responsible, punctual, honest, and reliable.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when required.
