Job summary

Philux, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver to transport and deliver products to clients, showrooms, and project sites within Metro Manila. The role requires a valid driver’s license, at least 1 year of delivery experience, and familiarity with local routes and traffic rules.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance, and ensure timely deliveries while loading/unloading cargo and maintaining vehicle records.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Vocational Graduate is an advantage.
• Driver's License with Restriction Codes 1, 2, and 3 is required.
• At least 1 year of delivery driver experience.
• Familiar with Metro Manila/NCR routes and traffic rules.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport and deliver products, materials, documents, and other items to clients, showrooms, project sites, and other designated locations.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle to ensure roadworthiness, safety, and proper operating condition.

• Inspect the vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to identify and report potential issues or abnormalities.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs when necessary.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle functionality, reliability, and longevity.

• Be responsible for the regular checking and changing of engine oil, oil filter, and other basic vehicle fluids according to the recommended maintenance schedule.

• Check and maintain proper levels of coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, windshield washer fluid, and other necessary fluids.

• Monitor the condition of tires, brakes, batteries, lights, belts, hoses, wipers, and other vehicle components and immediately report defects or needed repairs.

• Assist in or coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance, repair, and servicing of company vehicles.

• Ensure that the assigned vehicle is clean, properly maintained, and in good working condition at all times.

• Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, repairs, maintenance activities, and other vehicle-related expenses.

• Check that all necessary vehicle documents, tools, emergency equipment, and accessories are complete and available.

• Properly secure products, furniture, materials, and other items before transport to prevent damage during delivery.

• Assist in loading, unloading, handling, and proper positioning of products and materials when required.

• Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes and ensure timely delivery to customers and project sites.

• Familiarize himself with routes, roads, establishments, project sites, and other locations within Metro Manila and nearby areas.

• Observe all traffic laws, road safety regulations, company policies, and defensive driving practices.

• Immediately report vehicle accidents, traffic violations, breakdowns, damages, or other incidents to the immediate supervisor.

• Maintain proper documentation such as delivery receipts, acknowledgment receipts, trip tickets, and other delivery-related documents.

• Demonstrate professionalism and courteous behavior when dealing with customers, clients, suppliers, and company personnel.

• Safeguard company vehicles, tools, equipment, documents, and products entrusted to him.

• Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Vocational Graduate is an advantage.

• With a valid Driver's License with Restriction Codes 1, 2, and 3.

• With at least one (1) year of related work experience as a Delivery Driver.

• Preferably with experience handling delivery of furniture, appliances, construction materials, or other bulky items.

• Familiar with routes, roads, and places within Metro Manila/NCR.

• Knowledgeable in traffic rules, road safety regulations, and defensive driving.

• With basic knowledge of vehicle troubleshooting and mechanical-related work.

• With experience in basic vehicle maintenance such as oil changing, checking fluids, battery checking, tire inspection, and basic troubleshooting is an advantage.

• Willing and capable of assisting with loading and unloading of products and materials.

• Must be honest, hardworking, responsible, and trustworthy.

• Must have good time management and be reliable in reporting for work and completing assigned deliveries.

• Must be willing to work flexible hours and perform other delivery or vehicle-related tasks as required.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be willing to take care of and properly maintain company vehicles and equipment.
