We are seeking a Lead Principal Auditor (VP) to join our Group Audit’s Finding Validation Centre. This is a senior SME role with leadership responsibility, suited to an experienced audit/risk management professional who can lead complex audits, coach auditors, and engage confidently with senior stakeholders. The role reports directly to the Principal Audit Manager (PAM).

Your skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related discipline. Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters) and professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.) preferred.
In-depth experience of working in an audit function within the financial services industry, with strong experience leading audits or finding validations within a fast‑paced business environment. Exposure to technology, procurement, or third‑party/vendor risk audits is advantageous.
Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and a thorough understanding of the risk and control environment within the financial services industry, including experience assessing technology and procurement and vendor‑related risks such as third‑party oversight, information security, resilience, service continuity, technology change management, and outsourcing arrangements.
Demonstrated experience in proactively building meaningful relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues/data simply and clearly.
Strong analytical skills and structured thinking with the ability to clearly describe control weaknesses and associated risks. Flexible, proactive and innovative attitude with very strong organizational skills to meet agreed objectives such as timely and efficient completion of audit projects within agreed budget.
Ability to lead and coordinate several audit projects in parallel, including oversight over scope completion and quality of work.
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
