Job summary

Usobi is urgently seeking three experienced Database Engineers to join our IT team onsite in Cebu, Philippines. You will design, optimize, and maintain both relational and non-relational databases supporting production workflows.

Work closely with software developers and data analysts to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Candidates should have 1–3 years of hands-on database design, implementation, and administration, plus experience with Oracle, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Database Engineer or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience in database design, implementation, and administration.
• Proficiency with Oracle, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL solutions.
• Proficient in PL/SQL and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Red Hat-based Linux systems (e.g., Rocky Linux, Oracle Linux).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain relational and non-relational databases to support application workflows.
• Install, configure, and test database software (e.g., Oracle, MariaDB).
• Manage Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and ASM.
• Monitor databases, troubleshoot issues, ensure high availability and minimal downtime.

• Provide technical support for production and office database environments.
• Stay current with database technology trends and propose system improvements for performance, scalability, and security.

Required Experience:
