Job summary

You will provide technical support for data center operations and application management, optimize database configurations, apply industry best practices, and collaborate with vendors on updates and fixes. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of hands-on Oracle and MSSQL experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/IT or related field.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience in Oracle DB Administration and MSSQL DB Administration.
• Experience with virtualization/containerization and data warehousing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, administer, and maintain complex databases and related infrastructure, ensuring uptime, performance, and security per SLAs.
• Provide technical support for data center operations, app management, and risk management; assist in database considerations for optimization.
• Research and apply industry best practices to keep the database infrastructure cost-effective and up to date.
• Communicate with database vendors for updates, fixes, and support needs.
• Perform regular database housekeeping: backups, vendor maintenance, and documentation updates.
• Conduct capacity management by collecting statistics and forecasting growth.
• Recommend improvements after reviews to correct inefficiencies and optimize performance.
• Implement configuration, change, and security patch management.
• Lead troubleshooting with root-cause analysis and permanent solution recommendations.
