Job summary

IT Manager's Inc. seeks an experienced IT infrastructure professional to install, administer, and monitor enterprise-level components ensuring uptime, performance, and security. The role involves researching developments, providing consultancy to operations and risk management, and coordinating with vendors on updates and support.

Documentation and policy compliance are essential. The candidate will perform routine maintenance, backups, and housekeeping while reporting status to leads.

Responsibilities

• Installs and administers major, complex, enterprise-level infrastructure components and facilities with uptime, performance, and security to service levels.
• Researches industry developments regarding assigned infrastructure components to implement better practices and guard against obsolescence, recommending replacements where needed.
• Provides technical support and consultancy to operations, applications management, and risk management teams, advising on infrastructure considerations for optimal app design.
• Communicates and coordinates with infrastructure vendors regarding product updates, fixes, and support requirements.
• Monitors the condition and performance of assigned infrastructure components and reports status to leads regularly.
• Performs regular housekeeping on infrastructure components, including cleanup, backups, and vendor preventive maintenance.
• Documents the configuration of assigned infrastructure components and keeps documentation updated and secure.
• Complies with configuration management policies, including maker-checker controls for ITCRF forms.
• Complies with policies on handling and safekeeping of super-user IDs for assigned infrastructure components.

• Researchesindustry developmentsregardinghis assigned infrastructure components, to learn and implement better infrastructure administration practices, understand cost-effective alternatives, and to guard against unplanned obsolescence. Where needed, recommends better and/or more cost-effective replacement infrastructure.

• Provides technical support and consultancy services to personnel in operations, applications management, and risk management. Advisesapplicationsmanagers on infrastructure considerations so they can design applications optimally.

• Communicates, and coordinates with infrastructure vendorsregardingproduct updates, fixes, and support requirements.

• Monitors periodically the condition and performance of his assigned infrastructure components, and regularly reports the status of such to his leads

• Performs regular housekeeping on his assigned infrastructure components,e.g.cleanup of unnecessary components, system-level backup, vendor preventive maintenance, etc.

• Documents the configuration of his assigned infrastructure components, and keeps such documentation updated and secure.

• Complies withpolicies on configuration management,e.g.maker-checker controls for ITCRF forms.

• Complies withpolicies on the handling andsafe-keepingof super-user IDs for his assigned infrastructure components.
