Job summary

Security Bank Corporation is seeking a Data Technical Manager to lead the Enterprise Data Services team. Job description

As a Data Technical Manager, you will be joining our Enterprise Data Services team as both a hands-on engineering authority and the delivery lead for our data engineering roadmap. You will sit at the intersection of business and technology, translating business demand into well-architected data solutions, then owning the plan, the stakeholders, and the tradeoffs required to ship them.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as the data engineering delivery head for assigned initiatives, owning project plans, milestones, resourcing, and risk/issue logs from intake through go-live.
• Drive data engineering projects directly with business sponsors, translating shifting priorities into a realistic delivery roadmap and holding the line on scope, timeline, and quality tradeoffs.
• Run project governance — status reporting, steering committee updates, and escalation management — so business stakeholders always know where a data initiative stands and what it needs from them.
• Coordinate across data engineers, architects, business analysts, and platform teams to keep cross-functional workstreams aligned to a single delivery timeline.

What we’re looking for

• 8+ years of experience as a data professional, spanning data engineering and/or leading cross functional data teams.
• Extensive knowledge of modern data engineering implementations, from ingestion and orchestration through to consumption layers.
• Strong hands-on experience across the AWS, Microsoft, and Databricks stack.
• Proven experience building pipelines that are scalable, high-performing, and cost-effective, with the judgment to balance the three.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements, coordinate with stakeholders, and
• negotiate and influence design decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a nontechnical audience.
• Finance industry experience is a plus, with the ability to understand and work within bank data domains.
