Job summary

GCash in the Philippines is seeking a data science professional to drive cross-functional projects from concept to insight delivery or automation. You will frame questions, present methodologies and insights to stakeholders, and collaborate with Mynt product teams for strategic direction.

Requirements: 2+ years in the field, a degree in Statistics, CS, Economics, or related tech, strong SQL and Python or R, and the ability to explain complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data science or analytics.
• Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Physical Science, Economics, or related technical field; masters acceptable.
• Strong SQL and Python or R for analytical tasks.
• Ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with data cloud services for analytics and automation.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and technologies on the job.
• Demonstrates ability to self-lead and lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce cross-functional data science projects from conceptualization to insight delivery or automation.
• Present methodologies, packaged insights, and business recommendations to stakeholders.
• Build relationships with Mynt product teams for strategic direction and collaboration.
• Frame business questions into analytical or ML frameworks for practical solutions.
• Lead in value realization discussions for ML/AI products.
