Job summary

Union Bank of the Philippines seeks a Senior Data Security Manager to lead data security governance and policy implementation within the organization’s information security framework. You will develop, enforce, and audit data protection practices to safeguard critical data assets.

The role requires collaboration with IT, legal and business units, plus experience in DLP, incident response, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data security or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., ISO27001, NIST, GDPR).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of Data Security Analysts and ensure alignment with data security policies and objectives.
• Develop and enforce data security policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies, regulations and standards via audits and risk assessments.
• Monitor and respond to data security incidents and breaches.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, security teams, and business units to ensure data protection.
• Implement data loss prevention (DLP) strategies and technologies.
• Provide training and awareness programs on data security best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest data security trends and threats.
• Prepare and present data security reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with data protection laws in collaboration with the Data Privacy Team, incorporating PIIs controls.
• Develop and practice joint incident response plans for cybersecurity incidents.
