Job summary

Philip Morris International in Makati is seeking a Data Scientist to apply advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to solve business problems, generate insights, and build scalable data solutions. You will work with structured and unstructured data, leverage modern technologies to automate workflows, and deliver impactful outcomes that support business decision-making.

Lead end-to-end analytics projects, maintain data quality, and deploy models while documenting processes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SAS, or Julia.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark) and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience using visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Familiarity with Git and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly insights.
• Experience collaborating with remote technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end analytics projects, from business requirements gathering through insight generation and delivery.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and completeness across data processes.
• Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models while optimizing features and model performance.
• Analyze customer and business data to identify trends, behaviors, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain documentation of models, experiments, and processes to support reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that support strategic decisions and process optimization.
• Proactively identify and resolve data-related issues before they impact business operations.
