Job summary

Chinabank PH in Makati seeks a Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines and platforms for analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making across the bank.

You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, implement data quality controls, automate ETL tasks with Python or Shell, and maintain documentation while adopting new data technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, and Microsoft data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric) is an advantage.
• Banking industry experience is a plus.
