Job summary

The Manager for DPA Compliance will work closely with the AVP for DPA Compliance in supporting the Business Units (BUs) within the SM Retail Group to ensure the group's compliance with the requirements of the Data Privacy Act.

Responsibilities

• Review Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) documentation of projects, processes, systems and programs involving the processing of personal data
• Review draft Data Privacy Agreements prior to endorsement to Legal
• Monitor the compliance of Business Units with the requirements of the DPA, its IRR, NPC issuances and other applicable laws by performing internal privacy sweeps, on-site visits, regular compliance checks, etc.
• Manage, monitor and document DPA-related incidents, complaints and/or exercise of data subject rights
• Review, develop and enhance DPA-related policies, materials and templates
• Conduct DPA training and orientation sessions across the group
• Liaise with Business Units and other departments to accomplish compliance requirements needed to submit to the NPC or other regulatory bodies, as applicable

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accountancy or any relevant field
• With data privacy compliance experience and at least 3-year work experience in a managerial position
• CIPP / CIPM or CISA and experience in internal audit, IT audit, external audit, compliance or risk management an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to work well with other people in managerial or executive positions
• Excellent verbal and written English communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
