Job summary

Asticom Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer specializing in Snowflake to manage and optimize our enterprise data platform infrastructure.

The role focuses on Snowflake administration, platform management, performance tuning, security, and cost governance. Responsibilities include configuring Snowflake accounts, deploying and maintaining resources with Terraform, monitoring performance, and implementing RBAC and data sharing controls in an enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in Data Platform Engineering or Snowflake administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake infrastructure and platform administration.
• Experience managing Snowflake accounts, databases, schemas, warehouses, roles, and users.
• Strong understanding of Snowflake security, access management, and governance.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, is highly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing data platform infrastructure in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain Snowflake accounts, virtual warehouses, databases, and schemas.
• Administer and manage Snowflake platform infrastructure and configurations.
• Use Terraform / IaC to provision and manage Snowflake resources and related cloud infrastructure.
• Manage databases, warehouses, roles, users, and other Snowflake resources through automated and repeatable processes.
• Monitor warehouse performance, query performance, resource utilization, and overall platform health.
• Troubleshoot performance and infrastructure issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Optimize warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume settings, query performance, and resource allocation for cost and performance efficiency.
• Implement and manage RBAC, secure data sharing, and data governance policies.
• Implement security controls including masking policies, row-level security, and encryption mechanisms.
• Manage Snowflake releases, features, account-level configurations, and platform enhancements.
