East West Banking Corporation’s Enterprise Data Office seeks an experienced Data Platform Engineer to build and optimize enterprise-grade data platforms and pipelines in a hybrid Metro Manila setting.

You will drive DataOps and MLOps practices, ensure reliability and security of data infrastructure, and collaborate with data scientists and IT teams to deliver compliant, scalable solutions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, dbt, Kafka, Python, SQL, and orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt Cloud.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar platforms.
• Good understanding of DataOps, MLOps, infrastructure-as-code, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, data governance, metadata management, and banking regulatory requirements; relevant certifications are an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain cloud-native data platforms using Databricks, dbt, Kafka and cloud services to support scalable data solutions.
• Implement DataOps and MLOps practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, observability, and deployment pipelines for data and ML workloads.
• Manage code repositories and deployment processes through GitLab with pipeline automation and environment governance.
• Ensure platform, data, and ML pipelines meet performance, quality, security, audit, and compliance requirements with data lineage and governance.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Risk, Engineering, and IT Operations teams to deliver secure, compliant data platforms and services.
• Support platform upgrades, incident resolution, and ongoing improvements to reliability and scalability.

• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Risk, Engineering, and IT Operations teams to deliver secure, compliant, and business-aligned data platforms and services.
• Support platform upgrades, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance platform reliability, scalability, and operational maturity.

What we're looking for

• Graduate of Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least three years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related roles utilizing modern data platforms and CI/CD practices.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, dbt, Kafka, Python, SQL, and orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt Cloud.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar source control and deployment platforms.
• Good understanding of DataOps, MLOps, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, data governance frameworks, metadata management, and banking regulatory requirements; relevant certifications are an advantage.
