Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of data engineering/platform engineering experience.
• Hands-on with Databricks, dbt, Kafka, Python, SQL, and Airflow or dbt Cloud.
• CI/CD experience with GitLab or similar deployment platforms.
• Knowledge of DataOps, MLOps, IaC, Docker, Kubernetes; banking regulatory familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud-native data platforms using Databricks, dbt, Kafka and cloud services.
• Implement DataOps and MLOps with CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
• Manage code repositories and deployment pipelines through GitLab with version control and governance.

What The Role Will Entail

• Develop and maintain cloud-native data platforms using technologies such as Databricks, dbt, Kafka, and cloud services to support scalable and reliable data solutions.
• Implement DataOps and MLOps practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, observability, and deployment pipelines for data and machine learning workloads.
• Manage code repositories and deployment processes through GitLab, ensuring efficient pipeline automation, version control, and environment governance.
• Ensure platform, data, and ML pipelines meet performance, quality, security, audit, and compliance requirements while supporting data lineage and governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Risk, Engineering, and IT Operations teams to deliver secure, compliant, and business-aligned data platforms and services.
• Support platform upgrades, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance platform reliability, scalability, and operational maturity.

What we're looking for

• Graduate of Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least three years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related roles utilizing modern data platforms and CI/CD practices.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, dbt, Kafka, Python, SQL, and orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt Cloud.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar source control and deployment platforms.
• Good understanding of DataOps, MLOps, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, data governance frameworks, metadata management, and banking regulatory requirements; relevant certifications are an advantage.
