Job summary

Bain Capital is seeking a Manager, Private Equity Data Governance to lead enterprise‑level data governance across the CFO organization. You will design and sustain data quality frameworks, metadata catalogs, and controls to enable accurate reporting across the private equity platform.

You will partner with Finance, Operations, IT, Portfolio Management, and Investor Relations to implement data strategies, drive AI‑readiness, and advance data infrastructure using Power BI and approved tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong stakeholder engagement across Finance, Operations, Investment Management, and Technology.
• Proven data governance and data management experience in asset management or financial services.
• Self-starter with deadline-driven mindset in a fast-moving, data-intensive environment.
• Understanding of private equity as an asset class is a plus.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and agentic workflow design is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks with quality standards and audit-ready controls.
• Define data architecture across the private equity platform and partner with stakeholders.
• Drive data quality management with root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Advance the data catalog and metadata framework for transparency and lineage.
• Lead AI-readiness and agentic governance design with AI workflows.
• Enable automated reporting and visualization using Power BI and approved tools.
• Develop data health KPIs and governance scorecards.
• Serve as a cross-functional governance partner to Finance, IT, Investor Relations, and more.
