Job summary

Philip Morris International in the Philippines is seeking a Data Governance & Management Sr Specialist to drive adoption of governance practices and ensure data assets are treated as business assets. You will bridge business and technology, lead data quality, ownership, metadata, and governance initiatives, and collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to embed a data-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, BI, Data Engineering, Analytics, or related disciplines.
• Experience with data management tools (e.g., Atlan, Collibra, LeanIX, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with machine learning and AI applications in data governance.
• Understanding of data governance principles (DAMA-DMBOK).

Responsibilities

• Implement data governance policies, processes and standards.
• Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to ensure data quality and compliance, and confidentiality.
• Lead local data governance initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and company policies.
• Monitor and enforce data governance policies and procedures. Conduct data quality assessments and audits to ensure reliable and high-quality data in the market.
• Identify, solve, and execute solutions to improve data reliability and quality. Utilize technologies such as Snowflake, Atlan, LeanIX, to manage and govern data.
• Work with Data Engineers and Data Scientists and other business and IT stakeholders to integrate data governance policies into data pipelines and models.
• Report on data governance metrics and KPIs to senior management.
• Provide training and support to staff on data governance best practices.
