Job summary

PM Consulting in Makati City (Hybrid) seeks a Data Engineer Lead to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure, while championing data governance and regulatory compliance. You will lead a technical team and partner with cross-functional leaders to convert raw data into analytics-ready assets that drive strategic decisions.

The role requires hands-on experience with Python/SQL/Scala, cloud data platforms, and modern data warehousing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Data Engineer, preferably within professional services, consulting, or financial environments.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Scala) and modern data pipeline tools.
• Solid experience with cloud data platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and data warehousing architectures.
• Hands-on expertise with big data technologies, orchestration tools, and relational/non-relational database management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills, with a track record of driving technical initiatives and guiding engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable data architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Oversee and mentor a team of data engineers, ensuring code quality, optimized database performance, and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex analytics requirements into reliable data models.
• Implement and enforce strict data governance, security protocols, and compliance controls in line with ISO 27001 data protection certification.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data systems for maximum speed, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
