Thinking Machines Data Science Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an Engineering Consultant (Data Engineering) who can collect, transform, and store data from diverse sources while safeguarding sensitive information and enabling data science work.

You will build ETL systems, deploy analytics platforms for SaaS and NGO clients, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver practical, fast, reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data engineering or software engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Airflow with strong code literacy.
• Experience managing cloud environments (AWS and GCP); bonus for Azure.
• Experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, TensorFlow, Azure Data Factory, Databricks.
• Security-conscious mindset when handling client data.
• Ability to deliver quickly and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong written and verbal communication; client-facing.
• Consultative mindset and willingness to work across teams.
• Generalist approach with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build systems for collecting, transforming, and storing data.
• Architect analytics platforms for SaaS or NGO clients.
• Debug ETL pipelines and deploy ML models to TensorFlow Mobile.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and document code.
