Job summary

N-iX is seeking a Data Engineer in a remote, international role to help power a multi-country cloud analytics platform for fintech data. You will design and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines in Snowflake, using dbt, Python, and Airflow while ensuring data quality and scalable data models across regions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with BI, Data Science, and business units, adherence to Git and CI/CD, and strong documentation of data dictionaries and lineage across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering, data warehousing, or related software engineering experience.
• Strong SQL, Snowflake architecture, and dbt experience expected.
• Proficient Python scripting for data manipulation and automation.
• Git version control and CI/CD practices essential.

Responsibilities

• Decoupled Data Modeling: Build, maintain, and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines and semantic models in Snowflake using dbt.
• Automated Data Quality & Testing: Implement dbt tests and validation checks for data integrity across layers.
• Version Control & CI/CD Enforcement: Ensure transformations and Python scripts are versioned and integrated into CI/CD.
• Platform Operations & Monitoring: Resolve incidents and monitor multi-country ingestion workflows.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work with Senior Data Engineers, BI teams, and analysts to translate requirements.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain data dictionaries, lineage, and cataloging standards.
