Job summary

AGSI seeks a Database Engineer to architect, develop, implement and manage complex databases supporting our global business needs. The role operates independently under general guidelines and objectives.

You will work with program developers, APM and DPM to develop, deploy and maintain database solutions using SQL Server, DB2 UDB, MongoDB, and Snowflake, ensuring performance, security, and data integrity across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 2–4 years of related experience.
• Master’s degree in computer science or related field with 0–2 years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of database technologies (SQL Server, DB2 UDB, MongoDB, Snowflake).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; teamwork oriented.
• Ability to problem-solve with urgency to maintain service levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and maintain database solutions across programs.
• Perform database object development and promotion to support initiatives.
• Monitor performance and analyze database activity.
• Script and program database tasks using various languages.
• Ensure backups, restores and data masking for NPIs; maintain security.
• Collaborate with senior peers to ensure standards and modeling best practices.
• Design schemas and build objects (procedures, functions, triggers).
• Test DDL/DML with developers and end users; resolve issues with ATS.
• Document processes and streamline existing procedures.
• May require 24 hour on-call availability and flexibility across time zones.
