Job summary

Chinabank PH, based in Makati, is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines powering analytics and reporting. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions and automate data processing.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data engineering, strong SQL skills, and experience with data warehousing concepts. Proficiency in Python and shell scripting is required, with cloud platform experience considered

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
Proficiency in Python, Shell, or other scripting languages.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse teams.
Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and related data platforms is an advantage.
Banking industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for ETL processes.
Build and support scalable data platforms, including data warehouses and data lakes.
Implement data quality controls to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Automate data processing and integration tasks using Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data infrastructure and pipelines.
Maintain documentation for data processes and architectures.
