The Data Engineer engages in data design, analysis and development, providing insights and identifying opportunities for improvement. Business and systems analysis, development and testing, combined with business risk assessments and data quality monitoring are also components of the role. The role is responsible for ensuring that the Business Reporting programs and processes are kept up-to-date, and that new and modified programs are delivered as needed. The Data Engineer is also responsible for designing and enhancing the Business Objects and Tableau Reports used in the Data warehouse environment. This provides the organization with a best practice analytical platform to make effective, fact based decisions. Data Engineer also plays a critical role in supporting the SAS application used for Data Analytics by Business. The Data Engineer will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members to build their capability.
