Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a Data Engineer in the Philippines for a remote, day-shift role. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes, ensure data quality, and assist customers with ETL issues across Australasia. Strong SQL, Python, and data warehousing skills are required.

Qualifications

• Strong Python scripting and ETL/process development experience.

Your Role

As a Data Engineer, you will:

• Support existing customer implementations and troubleshoot database and data-related issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data integration solutions.
• Develop and maintain data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Assist customers in debugging ETL issues, particularly those in the Australasia region.
• Write Python scripts to automate processes and tasks, improving efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases, preferably MySQL.
• Strong scripting skills, preferably in Python.
• Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, and data integration techniques.
• Understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience in database design, management, and optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) integration.
• Background in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), food manufacturing, or related industries.
• Experience supporting customer implementations and troubleshooting data integration issues.
