Job summary

Business Process Outsourcing International, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Facilities Engineer to lead design and implementation of HVAC and plumbing systems in Pasig. You will guide project teams to meet scope, budget, and schedule, while supporting 24x7 operations.

Requires hands-on experience with mission-critical power, electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to read blueprints, perform calculations, and generate engineering studies for complex data center environments.

Qualifications

About the role

This role involves mission critical facility design, construction, and implementation of Data Centers. You will lead efforts to deliver detailed design of large-scale HVAC and plumbing systems, provide subject matter expertise in Data Center/Mission HVAC/plumbing design, and work closely with engineering project teams and field personnel to complete and review projects on scope, budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead efforts to deliver detailed design of large-scale HVAC and plumbing systems while following all company, client and project design standards, may involve leading teams dedicated to these design deliverables
• Provide subject matter expertise in Data Center/Mission HVAC/plumbing design
• Work closely with engineering project teams and field personnel to complete and review projects on scope, budget and schedule
• Perform project tasks and assignments within budgeted hours and deadlines
• Incorporate schedules, budgets and project criteria into physical design and layouts
• Conduct field surveys, drawings, and other data to assess conditions of existing facilities and develop summary reports
• Prepare and/or review technical drawings to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements
• Perform detailed calculations as needed by the project and compile data and create engineering studies and reports
• Support and maintain 24x7 Data Center operations
• Work with Network engineering and lead Data Center projects to ensure they are delivered to meet customers

About you

• Experienced in mission critical facility design, construction, and implementation of Data Centers
• Experience with mission critical power distribution, Electrical systems, Mechanical systems (HVAC) and data systems
• Hands on experience in day-to-day Data Center operations
• Strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical principles and systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand equipment functionality
• Proficient in using precise measuring instruments to inspect and test equipment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Effective communication skills to report site situations, collaborate with IT teams, and provide guidance to other technicians
• Capable of performing physical tasks associated with maintenance and repair of equipment
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment and respond to emergency calls as needed
• Vocational diploma or relevant short course certificate in a technical field
• Strong knowledge of mechanical & electrical concepts and terms (UPS, PACU, HVAC, Chilled Water System, GENSET, LVSG, POWER PANEL)
• Knowledge of inside plant safety measures
• Knowledge of data center security processes and adhere to the measures they put in place
• Good work ethics and a willingness to learn
