Job summary

DWS Group in Madrid is seeking a Data Architect to shape data architecture and models across the enterprise. You will collaborate with Domain Architects and delivery teams to ensure scalable data solutions for data in transit, at rest, and data consumption.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering/architecture, strong SQL skills, experience with cloud platforms (GCP), and a proactive approach to evaluating new technologies and security considerations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering and architecture.
• Experience in financial services or asset management is a plus.
• Strong data modelling skills (0NF/3NF/Star/Snowflake/DV 2.0).
• Solid knowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL; Snowflake is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Break down requirements into data models, ingest, and consumption strategies.
• Coach data engineers to implement data models and patterns.
• Collaborate with Domain Architects and other architects on decisions and patterns.
• Support design reviews with Solution Architects before implementation.
• Maintain the Enterprise Data Model and materialize into physical models when needed.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve the data architecture across the organization.
