Job summary

RealPage, Inc. seeks a Data Analyst to analyze, monitor, and support complex procedures for affordable housing program requirements. You will collect vendor data from client systems and import it into our database, map provider formats to ours, and report at multiple stages within the process.

The role includes quality assurance testing through the application UI, developing ad hoc queries, data conversions, and ensuring data quality. Night shift is available with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree or equivalent; fresh graduates may apply.
• 1-2 years' experience managing data with Access and Excel.
• Working knowledge of relational database concepts and processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Review resident files within contract time frames.
• Communicate deficiencies and operate the RPDM system to ensure timely review of files.
• Receive data, oversee transferring data to our database, and analyze data for accuracy.
• Create conversion scripts for data from various sources into the destination format.
• Consolidate/merge duplicated data using existing scripts or UI tools.
• Perform data matching based on common fields between disparate sources and present results.
• Write ad hoc queries for tasks such as coverage data and audit information.
• Develop new queries for standardized reports by gathering requirements from operations.
• Develop a system for categorizing and storing scripts with documentation in a source control repository.

Overview

The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing, monitoring and providing support on a variety of complex procedures regarding program requirements of various affordable housing programs. They are also responsible for the collection of vendor data from various client systems and importing this data into a database. The overall process from receiving data through final reporting will require data analysis, mapping the data from the provider’s format to ours, reporting and monitoring at various stages within the process. Also requires Quality Assurance testing through the application user interface.

Responsibilities

• Review resident files within the time frames outlined in a contract or request assistance should some circumstance prevent a timely review.
• Communicate regarding the deficiencies found in the resident files and operate the RPDM system to ensure the timely review of files submitted.
• Receivingdata,overseeingthetransferringofthedatatoourdatabase,andanalyzingthedataforaccuracyandcomparedtowhatisin the destination system.
• Creating conversion scripts for data from various sources into the standard format for the destination system.
• Consolidating/merging duplicated data in the existing system by creating and using existing comparison scripts or using existing user interface tools.
• Performing data matching based on common fields between disparate data sources and return the results in a readable format.
• Assisting the operations team by finding out information from the system by writing ad hoc queries for tasks such as coverage data and audit information.
• Develop new queries that will later be turned into standardized reports by gathering requirements about specific needs from the operation team and gathering data.
• Develop a system for categorizing and storing scripts with documentation around the purpose of the scripts in a source control repository such as Visual Source Safe or Team Foundation Server.

Qualifications

• College degree of any four-year course or at least 2nd year college without back subjects.
• 1-2 years’ experience managing data with Access, Excel and data editors.
• Fresh Graduates may apply.
• Working knowledge of relational database concepts and processes required.
• 1-2 years’ experience with a proven track record in data analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Experience gathering requirements and writing specifications.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills.
