Job summary

Arch Global Services (Philippines) Inc. seeks a data-focused professional to monitor, interpret, and report on complex data sets across insurance operations. You will perform data acquisition, management, and statistical analysis, and support process documentation and initiatives.

The role requires responding to ad hoc staff requests. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in Insurance/Finance, strong Excel with macros, and knowledge of regulatory data calls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems or data science (required or preferred).
• 2–5 years working in Insurance/Finance preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills including macros required.
• Regulatory and data-call filing knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Monitor exposure and claim data sets; collaborate with units to improve data quality and minimize penalties.
• Create documentation to support aggregate financial and state-specific data call reporting for Arch divisions.
• Serve as key contact for Allianz legacy functions.
• Resolve USR bureau criticisms and external inquiries; address data anomalies.
• Assist in Medical Data Call and Indemnity Data Call inquiries from data collection bodies.
• Aggregate data, generate reports from various systems, and distribute to staff for review.
• Support WC surcharge and assessment payments as needed; assist in ad hoc data requests.

Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting various data sets to provide meaningful feedback for staff. This role involves significant data acquisition and management, statistical data analysis and report generation. Additional responsibilities include support activities centered around process documentation and support build for the initiatives. The candidate will also be required to respond to ad hoc requests from staff.

Responsibilities

• . Monitor various exposure and claim data sets and work with Arch business units and support teams to improve data quality and avoid financial penalties, where possible.
• . Responsible for creating necessary documentation to support aggregate financial and state-specific Workers Compensation data call reporting for all of Arch’s business divisions.
• . Fill role as key-contact for any obligations mirrored to handle Allianz legacy functions.
• . Assist in the resolution of Unit Statistical Reports (USR) bureau criticisms or other external inquiries. Work with staff to remedy any systemic data anomalies.
• . Assist in the resolution of Medical Data Call and Indemnity Data Call inquiries received from the various data collection organizations.
• . Compile data, create reports from various systems and send them to staff for review and submission.
• . Assist in the fulfillment of WC surcharge and assessment payment obligations as needed in support of staff.
• . Perform data collection and analysis in support of ad-hoc and recurring requests by staff.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience

• . Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including macro generation.
• . Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• . Strong foundational knowledge of Workers Compensation line of business is a plus.
• . Firm understanding of regulatory requirements as it relates to statistical data call filings.
• . Knowledge of Snowflake is a plus.
• . Good written and oral communication skills.
• . Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• . Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• . Must be able to manage the supervision of large data sets including analysis, accuracy, and attention to detailed definitions of data being requested.
• . Willingness to advise management if something is unclear or if there are any suggestions for a potential improvement opportunity.

Education

• . Bachelor’s Degree in informational system or data science preferred.
• . 2-5 working experience in Insurance/Finance field.
