Job summary

One Visaya Gaming Corporation is seeking a Data Analyst to turn raw telemetry into insights that shape game design, player engagement and business strategy. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, developers and marketing to translate data into actionable recommendations.

You will build dashboards, track KPIs, and use SQL with visualization tools to inform monetization strategies and user retention initiatives across live games.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in data-related field.
• 3+ years in a data analyst role, preferably gaming/tech.
• Proficient in SQL and analytics tools; experience with data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

As a Data Analyst, you'll work closely with product managers, game designers, developers, and marketing teams to extract actionable insights from game telemetry and player behavior. Your work will directly influence game development, monetization strategies, and user retention efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze gameplay data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with game designers and developers to set up event tracking and ensure data accuracy.
• Interpret player behavior and provide recommendations to improve game design, progression systems, and monetization.
• Conduct A/B testing and evaluate the effectiveness of new features and updates.
• Work with big datasets using SQL and visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Communicate insights to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and visually compelling way.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a data analyst role, ideally within the gaming, entertainment, or tech industries.
• Proficient in SQL and one or more analytics tools (Google Analytics, Python, R, Excel).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.).
• Strong understanding of KPIs relevant to gaming: Customer churn, retention, ARPU, LTV
• Identify patterns and generate insights
• Ability to translate complex data into meaningful narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
