Job summary

Remote Staff, INC. is seeking a world-class Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. You will integrate into our security stack, drive threat management, and safeguard enterprise data against evolving security risks.

You will perform threat detection, incident response, and both offensive and defensive security workflows across cloud and on-premises environments, emphasizing Zero-Trust and cross-time-zone collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3–12+ years of hands-on cybersecurity operations.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP are highly preferred.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, and cloud security is expected.

Responsibilities

• Threat Detection & Incident Response: real-time SIEM analysis, threat hunting, and incident response to reduce MTTD.
• Offensive Security: penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and web app security evaluations with standard tools (Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus).
• Defensive Security & Monitoring: monitor environments using EDR and SIEM tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Splunk, etc.).
• GRC & Compliance: align with NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP Top 10; support ISO/IEC 27001 governance.
• Cloud & Network Security: design and support secure cloud environments across AWS/Azure/GCP; enforce Zero-Trust.

In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting our digital infrastructure, managing threat landscapes, and safeguarding enterprise data against evolving security risks. You will integrate directly into our security stack and SOC workflows, executing offensive and defensive security strategies tailored to our environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Threat Detection & Incident Response: Conduct real-time SIEM log analysis, threat hunting, and incident response to reduce Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and mitigate potential breaches.
• Offensive Security: Perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and web application security evaluations using standard tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus).
• Defensive Security & Monitoring: Monitor enterprise environments using EDR and SIEM tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar, Wireshark).
• GRC & Compliance: Align organizational practices with industry frameworks (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP Top 10) and ensure ISO/IEC 27001 compliance and governance.
• Cloud & Network Security: Design, implement, and support secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP, enforcing Zero-Trust architecture principles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–12+ years of hands‑on experience in offensive or defensive cybersecurity operations.

Technical Expertise

• SIEM Platforms: Hands‑on experience with Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or IBM QRadar.
• EDR & Tooling: Proficiency in EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne) alongside technical tools like Nessus, Burp Suite, Metasploit, and Wireshark.
• Security Frameworks: Deep practical knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP Top 10, NIST CSF, and ISO/IEC 27001 standards.
• Cloud & Network Systems: Solid grounding in network security, Zero‑Trust architecture, and multi‑cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Soft Skills
