Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock in the Philippines is seeking a cybersecurity professional to harden security for end users and IoT devices, with a focus on risk and compliance. The role requires night shifts aligned to US Eastern Time and a hybrid setup in Quezon City.

You will lead remediation, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate across Engineering and Infrastructure to strengthen controls, while aligning with CIS benchmarks and client specs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity and/or IT roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 3+ years of Risk Assurance/Compliance and/or Information Security experience.
• 2+ years of Power BI data visualization to build dashboards and security scorecards.
• Strong understanding of CIS benchmark.
• Hands-on experience with Qualys, ServiceNow, PowerBI.
• Willing to work permanent night shift (US Eastern Time).
• Willing to work hybrid in Quezon City (3 days onsite).

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for users needing security hardening support for end users and IoT devices.
• Drive remediation including root-cause analysis and action plans with internal partners.
• Monitor security events, prioritize, escalate, and respond to issues.
• Investigate alerts from endpoint protection, network security, and monitoring systems and triage accordingly.
• Monitor and analyze findings from tools such as Qualys and Prisma.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Infrastructure to improve security controls.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and client specs.
