Virtual Business Partners Pty. Ltd. is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to monitor, analyse and respond to threats across platforms. The role supports security operations, incident response, vulnerability management and ISMS activities.

The position emphasizes proactive security improvements, risk assessments and awareness programs, with a fixed Mon–Fri schedule and on-site work in Cebu City. Candidates should have strong SIEM/EDR, incident handling and governance familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in cyber security, IT, CS or related field.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GIAC GSEC or ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation are desirable.
• Experience in cyber security operations, information security, networking or related technical role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security tools, alerts and logs for suspicious activity.
• Investigate and prioritise potential cyber security incidents.
• Support investigation, containment and recovery of cyber incidents.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and authorised security assessments.
• Monitor emerging threats and recommend security improvements.
• Assist with ISMS reviews, reporting and information-handling requirements.
• Support security risk assessments and maintain risk and compliance records.
• Assist with access reviews and privileged-account monitoring.
• Support awareness activities, phishing simulations and security communications.
• Provide practical security guidance to employees and stakeholders.
